Under confidence is a curse. It hinders your progress at work and doesn’t allow you to speak your mind. Thankfully, this can be tackled. Here are tips:
- Talk to a career coach. He will be able to help you with your under-confidence. You can also attend workshops that talk about confidence and help you get better. Remember, though, that you can’t expect a transformation overnight. It is a gradual process. Don’t give up.
- Work on your knowledge and skills. This is the best way to gain confidence because it helps you feel better. Knowledge is power, it has rightly been said in the past. Augment it.
- “Fake it till you make it,” works wonderfully when it comes to building confidence. Act like you are confident and you’ll get there!
- Spend more time with positive people in the office. These are the people who enjoy working. If you hang out with those who are desperate to catch a break all the time you are going to have a tough time.
Confidence is what you build from within. You cannot learn it from external help but you can sure as hell take steps to bring it out from within. Remember, you are a champ. Go, get ‘em!
